RESIDENTS ARE ASK NOT TO SHOVEL THEIR SIDEWALKS
Township residents are being ask NOT to shovel their sidewalks.
With the impending snow storm for Tuesday, February 9 and Wednesday,
February 10, the public works department will be pushing the snow
onto the sidewalks because there is no where else for it to go.
Residents are reminded that the township does not have a sidewalk
ordinance requiring residents to clear their sidewalks.
ZONING & SUBDIVISION UPDATE COMMITTEE
North Middleton Township is currently looking for a resident to
serve on the Zoning and Subdivision Update Committee.
The interested party will be required to attend four or five
committee meetings and two public hearings.
Any
township residents who wishes to serve on this committee should send
a letter of interest listing your qualifications or reasons you
would like to serve to the Township Manager at 2051 Spring Road,
Carlisle, PA 17013 or email her at
manager@northmiddleton-township.org.
Letters of interest will be accepted until Wednesday, February 17th.
CENTAX SEMINAR
A
representative from CENTAX (Central PA Tax Bureau) will be at the
Municipal Building on Thursday, February 25 from 12:00 Noon to
3:00pm and from 5:00pm to 7:00pm.
The
representative will be available to answer any questions residents
may have in regards to the filing of your local taxes and he will be
assisting residents in filing out their 2009 local tax return.
CODES & ZONING DEPARTMENT
Residents are reminded that when doing a project at their home they
should check with the township to find out if a building or zoning
permit is needed.

two of their fire trucks.

OPERATION SAVE A LIFE
In
conjunction with ABC 27 News, the North Middleton Township Fire
Company is participating in the Operation Save A Life program.
The
fire company will be distributing and installing smoke detectors to
families in our area at no charge, beginning December 2009.
Beginning in December, the fire company will be distributing and
installing smoke detectors to family across the midstate at no
charge.
Anyone interested in participating in this program should contact
the fire company at 243.2701.

EXIT
44 CONSTRUCTION PROJECT
The Exit
44 Project construction began on Monday, April 6, 2009.
Daytime working hours will be from 9:00am until 3:00pm.
Nighttime working hours will be from
6:00pm until 6:00am. During construction the section of Allen
Road / SR 465 from Walnut Bottom Road to SR 0011 will have periodic
lane closures. A minimum of one lane will be open to traffic
in each direction at all times. Construction is expected to be
completed by November 15, 2010.
